Debate Carnival 3.0: A Celebration Of Wit, Words, And Wisdom

The EEE Debate Club, UAP successfully hosted Debate Carnival 3.0, a flagship three-day event held on February 18th, 20th, and March 3rd, 2025, featuring intellectually stimulating and engaging debates.

In the first round, eight teams competed across four debates. Based on overall performance and team points, the top four teams advanced to the semifinals. Team Paradox Pointers and Team Soliloquy then progressed to the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale at UAP Auditorium featured a gripping debate where Team Soliloquy (Md. Omair Bin Mohshin, Arafa Anser Lamisa, Karar Fatema Akter) was crowned Champion, while Team Paradox Pointers (Md. Tauhidul Islam, Sumya Akhter Megla, Md. Humayun Kabir) became Runner-up. The Best Speaker Award went to Karar Fatema Akter.

On the same day, the semester concluded with the Planchette Debate Competition, where six participants embodied fictional characters and delivered creative speeches. Omair Bin Mohshin (as Devdas) became Champion, and Karar Fatema Akter (as Devi) was Runner-up.

The events were judged by Mr. Shaikh Rashedur Rahman (Assistant Professor and Convener), Mr. Dewan Ashikur Rahman, and Mr. Rasin Mohammed Ihtemam (Lecturers, Dept. of EEE), with Md. Nahedul Islam as Speaker. The event strengthened students' critical thinking and public speaking skills.
